AtFAB Incremental Change MIT Keller Gallery Exhibit - Filson & Rohrbacher
Filson and Rohrbacher delivered a status report on AtFab, a series of customizable, downloadable furniture objects designed for distributed CNC manufacturing and DIY. Incremental Change presented the furniture objects, parameter design and interface with an update on the project's increasing global reach. AtFAB started as a demonstration of how networked digital fabrication might reduce the embedded energy in things, connect designers more directly to their markets, and enable new possibilities of self-initiated design practice. AtFAB has been downloaded by a crowing community of makers worldwide and recognized in business, DIY and design publications.
